2025 Malaysia Trip: Last Day: Farewell Kuala Lumpur! Now in Japan

Our dreamlike time in Malaysia has finally reached its final day. Today, the 18th day, is the day we say goodbye to this country full of memories and head back to Tokyo.

"Heritage Lane" found at KLIA

Arriving early at the airport (KLIA), I discovered a wonderful exhibition area called "Heritage Lane Melaka"! There was a photo spot that recreated Jonker Walk in Melaka, and I was happy to finally get a taste of Malaysian culture. The illustrations of the bright red postboxes and colorful streetscapes were so cute that I couldn't help but stop in my tracks.

The last Malaysian meal in the sky

On the return flight, outside the window, the blue sky and white clouds stretched out endlessly. For the in-flight meal, I was served rice seasoned in a way that was typical of Malaysia. With every bite, I realized, "Ah, this trip was also amazing." The night view looking down from the window was also truly beautiful, like a studded jewel.

Arrived in Japan! The Japanese flavors are soothing

We arrived safely at Narita Airport. The first thing I ate after returning to Japan was, of course, Japanese food !

• Goemon's Octopus and Peperoncino Pasta : Eating it with chopsticks makes me feel like I'm back in Japan.

• Grilled fish set meal : miso soup, white rice, and grated daikon radish. This simple and gentle flavor gradually soothed the fatigue of my journey.

After the journey

The 18 days were truly intense. Malaysia's energy, delicious food, and warm people... Looking back at the illustrations I drew and the photos I took, I can still feel that excitement.

Tomorrow I will start my life as a creator back in Tokyo, but I would like to use the energy I recharged in Malaysia to draw lots of new characters and illustrations!

Terima Kasih, Malaysia! (Thank you, Malaysia!) I will definitely come back someday!
