The story of how my family's cell phones changed from flip phones to iPhone 4s when I was 4 years old.

This story takes place in July 2010, when I was just four years old.

The cell phones my parents used back then were what's known as "feature phones." They were flip phones that you operated by pressing buttons, and they were quite common back then.

But one day, my parents decided to buy new cell phones.

The newest addition is the iPhone 4 .

It was the first iPhone for our family.

Nowadays, smartphones that you operate by touching the screen with your fingers are commonplace, but back in 2010, they were quite a novel concept for me. They had almost no physical buttons, and you operated them by tapping or sliding your finger across a large screen. They were completely different from the feature phones I had been using, both in appearance and how they were used.

Of course, I was only four years old, so I didn't understand the technology at all, like "Smartphones are amazing!" (laughs).

Even so, I do remember seeing my parents using their new iPhones, and occasionally being allowed to try them out myself.

Looking back now, that was the first iPhone I ever had that was close at hand .

The iPhone 4 was memorable for its square design, with glass on the front and back and metal on the sides. Compared to current iPhones, the screen is quite small, but back then, I remember thinking, "Wow, that screen is big!"

With the replacement of the old flip phone we had at home with an iPhone, the smartphone era truly arrived in our household.

A considerable amount of time has passed since then, and smartphones have become an integral part of our lives.

However, tracing back the beginnings of my "life with an iPhone," I arrive at the iPhone 4 that my parents bought for me in July 2010, when I was four years old.

Now, it's a somewhat nostalgic memory.
