Hello, this is Hani (Laurris)! It's finally the sixth day of my trip to Malaysia. Today, while stylish cafes were fun, it was a day packed with the ultimate local experiences that I couldn't miss. This is a record of a colorful day that also inspired me as a creator.

1. A hearty local breakfast
First, we filled our stomachs. Pure white rice, rich soup, and fragrant grilled fish. Malaysian home-style cuisine isn't flashy, but every bite is comforting and delicious. This soup in particular really brought out the flavor of the ingredients, and it seemed to quickly relieve the fatigue of our travels.

2. Happiness found at a food stall for just RM 2.00: Ayam Goreng
As you walk through the city, you'll hear a spicy, fragrant aroma drifting from somewhere... It turns out to be Malaysian soul food , Ayam Goreng (fried chicken) ! It's surprisingly cheap at just RM 2.00 (about 60-70 yen) per piece. Freshly fried, the outside is crispy and the inside is juicy. The "SINCE 1999" sign tells you that this is a consistently delicious dish loved by locals.

3. Tropical treat "Air Kelapa"
If you're thirsty, head to the Air Kelapa (coconut juice) stand, marked by a mountain of coconuts. The natural juice, which is cracked open on the spot, is not too sweet and tastes like a natural sports drink. The sign next to it, "ROJAK SENYU," also catches your eye... I'd like to try the rojak (Malay salad) next time.

4. This is Malaysian style! Take a coffee break at "Ikat Tepi"
If you want to take out a drink in Malaysia, this is the way to go! It's called "Ikat Tepi" - a plastic bag with one end tied with a string. Today I chose a sweet iced coffee. It feels like there's more of it than in a cup, and it's fun to walk around with it hanging from your hand, so I can't help but take photos. It would also be cute as a motif for an illustration!

5. A magical sunset at the end of the day
As we were traveling, the view from the window of the train was of a sunset sky that seemed to draw me in. The gradation of the sky, from blue to orange to pale purple, combined with the blue light reflected on the water's surface, created a fantastical view that was like a scene from a movie.
Afterword: I feel that the charm of Malaysia lies not only in its skyscrapers, but also in its "everyday scenery" such as roadside stalls and coffee in plastic bags. Tomorrow is the last day. I hope to absorb as much of Malaysia's "color" as possible until the very end and go home!
